Welcome to BYC 2.gif

It is great having you here!

Be sure to check out the Social Forums. I bet you have some great stories to share

Wow that sounds like so many birds! I would love to see that in action. What kind of a set up do you have for them? The breeder we got our goats from had probably 50 and he said collecting eggs every morning was like an Easter hunt every day !!
Enjoy BYC!:love

It's not so bad, have a mobile coop with one of those portable electric pultry fences (only turned on at nite) on 20 acres of pasture. No egg hunting here either... What they don't lay in the roll out nest boxes or hatch gets left for the scavengers when we move the coop.

I have 10 and i would love to have 100! Love to hear how people manage and what it looks like. Glad to hear it’s not an Easter egg hunt. Though fun at first it may be hard after a few months. Lol.

What are you doing with the eggs of 100hens?

Their not all hens... I have 4 fulltime roosters tyvm, about 60 (15brahmas, 15 jerseys, 15 Cochin, 15 orloff) fulltime layers and the rest are mixed bunch we dont pay much attention to untill we need meat or when it's breeding time. On a side note I really want to ade la felches to that list! But anywho what eggs we don't keep for ouselfs we try to sell and what we can't sell we give to friends, neibors and local pantry.
