I have a chick I am fully convinced is a roo. Chick in question, any help is appreciated. Wednesday looks for a fight at every turn. I have some chicks who are a week or two older and have put wednesday in their place. The comb doesnt have any color yet, but it is more prominent than the others i bought wednesday with. Photo of other chicks for comparison, they are about 3/4 weeks old now. Americana

Thank you. I know it's still early, I'm just impatient. However, they keep beating up on the others. So much so one is missing feathers/fluffy on their wings.

Suspecting a cockerel seems reasonable, though of course time will tell. The best way I've found to prevent chicks (or adult chickens) from picking on each other is to provide more space.

It's a pretty large comb for that age. I would be surprised if that one didn't grow up to be a rooster.

Even when there is more space, Wednesday picks on everyone. The only ones it has seemed to slow down on challenging are my bigger girls. Some of that is bc they sit on it lol! They aren't mean, just don't have the patience for the madness.

I figured as much. My RiRs and BSL didn't really start to show a comb till just now, and they are almost fully feathered.
