Had 2 chickens. One died today. What do i do?

We inherited two chickens when I moved into our house last year.we are in the middle of an extreme heat wave and one of the chickens passed today. From what i have read on this forum chickens are social and need other chickens. I'm not sure what kind of chicken we have so im posting a picture in hopes that someone can help me identify the type of chicken we have and weather or not we need to get another chicken to keep her company.

We want our chicken to be happy. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If we need to get her a friend does anyone know where we can find a compatible chicken near lake elsinore?

I'm not sure what breed your chicken is, but they do need at least one flock mate. I would try looking online on craigslist for your area. There are also groups on Facebook where people rehome chickens. I hope this info helps.
