Had a good scare this morning.

Did you get the high winds last night? We had terrible winds and I seen 3 nest that hit the ground

No nothing out of the ordinary. It was windy be pretty mild compared to some of what we have seen this year

I watched what I thought was a parental unit about to feed chicks in a nest. Their little heads bobbed up and the big bird ate them. When it flew to another branch, I saw it was a hawk. I've found hawk kills or I should l say leftovers, beaks & feet. But I never saw
the carnage taking place till then. It really made me feel sick, and I feel that way every time the memory comes back. I know that is nature but, it's chilling to witness.
