Had a pile up in the grow out pen :(

I have never had a pile up before, 3 juvies dead

I don't know if they got scared or were cold, I didn't think it was to cold for them and only some of them piled up. I added a light to the pen not sure if that was the right thing to do but figured it wouldn't hurt. I also blocked all corners.

How cold was it? Was there any storms? Any new foods they ate? Did they exhibit any strange behaviors in the last couple of days? How old?

I had the same thing happen sometime last month. Mine tried to roost inbetween a concrete wall and a chicken tractor and piled up on top of the smallest guy in there. The worst part was, I walked in to check on them and heard him crying. He died before I could get to him.

I'm sorry for your loss. I hate when stuff like this happens. Sadly, sometimes we just can't prevent it.
