I have been working on a tractor that is just a tad bit bigger than what you have built. My question is would it be possible to house two hens in this year round. I live in WA. where we do get days at a time where the temp gets in the teens, but other than that is pretty mild. I hope to be able to let them out during the day as well to run around. I have been reading a lot in this forums and I see numbers from 2.5 - 4 sq feet per bird in the nest. I have about 4.5 total sq feet in nest. for the run I see numbers from 4 - 7 sq feet per bird in the run. I would have a little over 11 sq feet total. Eventually want to build a permanent coop that I can back the tractor into and transfer hens.

Two small bantams COULD live in a tractor that size, But I'm not sure that they SHOULD. Two standard sized chickens would barely fit in mine, much less live in it. I'm planning on using mine mainly for broodies and hens with small chicks.
