Had an unbelievable eating experience today....

The funny thing is I am not that big of a steak eater. Sure I like it but I dont crave it all the time.
Because of the convention we were at they were having a deal and it was only $25 for all you can eat steak. Its usually 40 which is still a deal I think. You go to any good steakhouse and you will pay that much for not near as much steak.
It was a really fun place to eat and a different dining experience. The muffins are popovers, my mom used to make them when I was growing up and loved them.
I ate at the one in San Antonio but will taking my wife to the one here in Austin soon. She is a carvnivore also haha....
One of my co workers talked about how you get "meat drunk" after a while from eating there and I didnt know what he was talking about. But seriously after I finally got done haha, I got up and was like wow.......he was right. I was intoxicated...intoxicated by meat.....ahhh the joy.

Haha!! Yeah, I havent eaten much since and have been drinking large quantities of water. May not have to eat tomorrow either haha....

I am so bummed their closest location is nearly 2000 miles away from where I live.

We're somewhere around 10000 miles away, but we do have a steakhouse that does all you can eat for about 4$. The steak is OK, it's not a door step of fillet but for that price you can stack them on top of each other and pretend.

Friend of DH's took his dad there and just RAVED about it.

It's about 45 minutes from us, and we've never been, but it's very tempting!

Only wish I had some clue as to the pricing...

I absolutely love Brazillian churrascurias!!! My first experience at one was in downtown San Diego 10 years ago. I hardly ever eat at restaurants, but I will spend $$$ to eat at a churrascuria!

And there are 2 of them in the SF bay area! It's not all beef, though- Filet mignon, flank steak, bacon-wrapped chicken breast, xl prawns, ribs, garlic steak, parmesean crusted pork, and more (like 14-16 different grilled protein choices), all delivered straight to your table by some guy dressed up like a gaucho who cuts the meat off of a spit onto your plate!!!! Don't even get me started on the all you can eat salad bar. They had me as soon as I saw the HUGE wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano sitting split on the salad bar with a chisel for picking chunks of cheese!

If you are in the area go to Espetus Churrascuria. If you are not, find one within 100 miles of wherever you are and prepare for meat drunkenness!

In Little Rock there is one of those skewered-grilled-meat places like the OP described....can't think of the name, but we've only been once coz you practically have to get your income tax return to be able to afford to eat there! It was well worth the price, just not something I can afford to eat every time I want some steak, ya know?

I dont think we have one of those around here, but we do have something similar, also a brazilian place in downtown Plymouth, I forget what its called though, but they also do the meat thing, its also a brazilian whatever you call it (sorry cant remember now, churu something?... lol), its smaller though cause its in downtown plymouth but its REALLY good. I love those places too, of course we also have a bunch of other good resteraunts around here too but that place was really good, havent been there in a while though and only went there once or twice but its good. but anyways I think the nearest one of this particular chain would have to be philly, baltimore, or D.C., all several hours away unfortunately, but I would love to go there sometime, it sounds great. and now im hungry too... lol
