Was out in the coop on Saturday to make some renovations in preparing to put the little chicks out there. I had to move the nest boxes and what to my wondering eyes should appear?? A certain little EE hen has been hanging her hiney a little too far over the back of the nest box . . . . . . I found 5 eggs that had dropped between the nest box and the wall, LOL!
My nestboxes aren't built into the wall, but are a freestanding, shelf like unit so that I can move and rearrange as needed. Needless to say, I added a back to it so this won't happen again.
