Had to share my babies...soon to be crazy chicken lady!

I had to chuckle at the title of your thread.....if you have chicks and are posting here, I've got news for you - you already ARE a "crazy chicken lady"! Happens to the best of us. <sigh> Once I was a normal gramma. I don't know what happened. One minute we were talking about getting a couple of pygmy goats and the next minute I had a yard full of chickens!

It just happened so fast! I've been planning forever, thoroughly enjoying it, that's for sure!

Love your babies

After really observing my "ameraucana" chick Felicia, pretty sure she's an EE. She has adorable little tufts of feathers below her eyes by her ears. Pink/yellow legs instead of blue.

I'd be willing to bet 90% of EE owners bought Ameraucanas, myself included. I absolutely love mine, and they produce so many beautifully colored, docile birds. The eggs are huge, and they lay a lot of them

Thank god I did some research before hand and was prepared for the possibility. She already has such a personality, seems much more curious and forward than the marans chick I got with her.

I started with birds that were orange base, with black and white. I gave some to a friend who had a white EE rooster last year in exchange for hatching eggs this year. Now I have the orange base, plus white, black, and grey bases. Can't wait to see how the eggs turn out! There's so much genetic diversity in the EEs that there are some really beauftiful color combinations

That sounds so neat! Felicia looks like a little chipmunk

I've seen some threads with people basically trying to come out with designer EE's very cool color combos.

Finally got everything painted. Just need to build the nest boxes and we'll be done...for now

Got the babies integrated, but separated with the big girls in the main coop.
