Ohh lol what I was trying to say was that when she hatched, she had a lot of feathering on her feet. Now it looks like some feathers have broken off and it isnt as full as I would like. I will wait until it matures to tell how full and thick her feet are feathered! I sure hope this one keeps getting better and better like it has been doing. How are your blue black and splashes Chelsea? How old are they now?

What do you brood your younsters on? Ive been using wire, then once they get large enough they go into sand runs. It helps keep their toe feathers nicer.

My bbs are doing good. The oldest ones are around a month or 1.5 months old. The youngest are about 2 weeks old. Looking good so far!

I probably asked you this before but what age do you take chicks off wire? And you use sand as the only bedding? No shavings? I have been using shavings and I don't know why but I see broken feathers on the feet. Hmmmm I will have to post pics of the feet soon. I'm probably just being too picky. I mean, it's had a lot of feathers up to the middle toe and it is kinda full. I'm going take pics now

I take them off wire once they get big enough to go into the big coop. So probably 1.5 months of age, I normally go by size. I use sand in the run. The inside of the coop is filled with pine shavings.
