I'm so very sorry that happened. You tried your hardest to save her. I admire you for being in college and still dedicating time to your chickens. I hope this experience doesn't dissuade you.

Thank you- this is extremely heartbreaking, and she was actually my last hen of the six I had raised. Once I am done with college- I plan to raise many many more- (Silkies!!) and to be there for them everyday so things like this does not happen!
