No she won't raise them. You need day old birds and a broody hen without chicks.

Got lucky and found some 3 day olds locally. She's taken to them like they were her own. All seems well.

Excellent...sometimes older chicks work out ok, depends on the broody.

3 days, I would try, but my response of "No she won't take them" was when he asked if he could wait a month.

Just an update... after a week alls well. 8 chicks and they all seem healthy/happy. It's funny watching them jump up on their 'step moms' back and just hang out there. She's doing a great job caring for them. I'll end this thread. Thx again for all the comments/suggestions.
