this is Sassy... he lives upto his name... when my health isn't giving me a fit and I can visit (and bribe with treats!) hes a very nice roo.... when I can't well... hes a giant JERK *ahem* attitude aside... I got him out of a tank of what I was TOLD by Stienhauser's feed store was all Easter Egger girls.... I think they missed the mark there... so my question is... is he an Easter Egger male like my hen is supposed to be? or is he something else? he's a big boy... nearly as big as my 2 -4 month old buff geese...which are nearly as big as my 6 year old tolouse goose... in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter but im about to put some of Ginger & Sassy's eggs in the incubator for a friend at church who doesn't wanna pay $6 a chick because they raise chickens to sell the eggs & they've had predator issues recently (suspected sneaky bobcat issues).Sassy is mostly white but has some dark brown/black speckles and theres a few buff colored feathers in there too.... in the chick picture hes the one in the front... I will try to get a better non-mesh picture but hes in extra sassy mode right now (he torpedo attacked my arm a few days ago getting a egg out of the nesting box)so I prefer to keep something between us... 😅 thanks in advance to any guesses/opinions!

I wouldn't guess Red Sex Links would have white earlobes, but they are a hybrid, so I guess they could look like anything. Maybe he (and she) are Starlight Green Eggers.
Wait! I didn't even think of that! From some photos from Google I think that could be it too.

If they are starlight green eggers, then the store was right by calling them Easter eggers.

shes supposed to be a easter egger as far as I know those are the eggs awaiting incubation and these are the "oopsie she went broody and I missed eggs" babies 🫣 which im pretty sure I have 3 hens and 2 roos in that bunch based on the experience with their parents... they are about a month old. I didn't order them I got em from a feed store and the lady said that tank was easter eggers 🤷🏻‍♀️ then again she also said they were all girls too.... and we see how well that worked out.. 😅🙄

Hmm, those look like olive ish eggs? They don't look brown to me.

Maybe they are starlight green eggers? Cute chicks!

Yeah, those eggs point to EE/OE. Starlight Green Egger it is!

I have had one, but it’s definitely not a common trait
