half worried, help please?

So he is inside tonight, gave him a bath again and now letting him dry out. I was advised that worming him should be the first course of action so that's what I'm trying. Will keep you posted. Thanks again.
Once he's out of the tub does he start preening? Lots of TLC for this guy I am thinking. Be sure to give him a good poultry probiotic after worming to get his gut flora back good again.

He doesn't preen when he gets out of the tub, no Miss Lydia. I did see him preening a little before I brought him in, but not anything like as much as the girls do on a daily basis. What could this indicate?

My drakes don't preen like my girls do just like they don't hunt like the girls do either. But they do preen. I have seen my drakes laying around with their girls hunting up a storm right there near them.

Second night inside for this young man. How long will it be before his worming medication takes effect if thats part of the problem? I have a feeling a trip to the farm vets is on the cards.

What are you using? what are the directions? after his worming is over he needs some kind of probiotic to get his gut working normal again. How's his appetite?

Im using panacur and the directions and dose are based on weight of the animal. His appetite seems to be pretty normal for him which is large. What probiotic would you guys recommend please?

Any livestock probiotic look at your feed store they should carry something, In different countries it's different brands. but most come in powder either mix in feed or water, but if you don't feed his feed wet then I'd say his water. I'm pretty sure the one Amiga uses has vitamins and electrolytes in it too which is a bonus. I don't give mine probiotic after worming because I use Verm-X and I feed fermented feed. He may not even have worms water fowl don't usual get inner or outer parasites unless kept in very unhealthy conditions.

Well I got home from work today and he is struggling to stand and after a few attempts to get some peas from the ground, he just gave up and lay on the floor. Fortunately I have an appointment with the vet this evening. It's so sad, not least because the girls are all chirping to each other as the potter around the garden, it's like the haven't even noticed he isn't with them. He was lay down in the yard when I went to pick him up and he didn't even try to stand, just gave a few quiet man-quacks of objection as I scooped him up and put him back in his house. I used to think he was just odd but he is so helpless for such a big boy. Fingers crossed he can be helped......

The vet is the best thing. I pray it is easily and quickly treatable. Please let us know so we can learn more about these kinds of symptoms. So wish he could be all better by now.
