HALLOWEEN Hatch-a-Long 2016 w/ Hosts, Mike, Sally & BantyChooks

The last chick had to be helped out. The membrane had glued the chick's head to the side of the shell. No wonder it couldn't even pip. About 5 minutes after hatch, it pulled it's intestines out. No hope of saving it. And I found the little sexlink boy dead this morning. He never did get his legs under him properly, and there were likely other unseen issues.

Some chicks are just suicidal. Last hatch, a chick pipped upside down and hit the yolk sac mid zip. Having a chick gut itself in an empty incubator is a new one, though.
