HALLOWEEN Hatch-a-Long 2016 w/ Hosts, Mike, Sally & BantyChooks

ha ha ha you know I made all the kids I watch and my own sit and watch a you tube video on germs, I scared the crap out of them with it, everyone washes hands now and keeps hands from mouths except the really littles
mine's pretty good about washing her hands, but she has a bad habit of picking her nose. She's trying to break it. She realizes it's a problem after she got a infection in her nose from picking it. LOL

She's learned a lot about germs, but some habits are hard to break.

You also have work.
yep

Trying to build anything with little kids around is HARD!

"MOM,MOM,MOM,...."
"yes?"
"......what Di's?? I play to!"
BAM,BAM,BAM

10$ part busted
So true!!

EXACTLY... you totally get it. :p

Both my daughter and my toddler think anything is made with a hammer and a screw driver.... "small, delicate parts?" What's that?

My daughter has also found the fun in 'repairing' things with tape. :p
She also has a pink flower hammer she !LOVES! But only gets to use outside, because way to much destruction has happened.

Mine has an entire purple tool kit set. She helps her dad outside with all the projects. But delicate projects would result in destruction because hammering is her FAVORITE thing,

She also has had frozen and hello kitty ducttape.... and she "fixes" things with it too. LOL

Had a late night surprise, last night. My youngest had flag football practice and the oldest had a band performance at the middle school football game last night. So needless to say we were out later than we wanted. Well, we had a little surprise waiting in the incubator when we got home... but first a little bit of background.

I don't know how many of you are familiar with Hurricane Hermine that hit Florida a couple weeks ago. Well, it knocked out the power here for three days. I had 28 eggs in the incubator at the time: 14 coturnix quail and 14 khaki campbell ducks. Ended up loosing all the quail and 12 of the duck eggs while trying to salvage the hatch as much as possible.

Fast forward two weeks and we get home from football/band activities and there is strange chirping coming from the incubator. Turns out not all the eggs were duck eggs. Contacted the person who sold me the eggs and we both had a good laugh. Apparently, her juvenile silkie and cemani started mating/laying. Welcome to the world little one...
