my drakes dont eat the food i give them, my chickens go into their house and eat some of it, but they dont eat much either
i go through a bag of layer and a bag of allflock/game everyother month right now, though i am sure that will go up in the winter when they cant graze.
The babies are getting bigger, so they are taking over where the four drakes left off. I had about two weeks of 50 pounds lasting 10 days. Now I am only at six or seven days.
I have my lavender ameraucanas seperated now. The girls are young and haven't started laying yet but combs are red and they should be starting very soon. Hopefully, with any luck, they'll start laying in the next couple weeks and maybe I'll get to hatch some for October. I'm thinking of seperating my silkies too but we'll see. Now, I need to find a new CCL roo. That will seriously teach me not to have a backup :/ He was a handsome and sweet boy and will be missed.
