HALLOWEEN Hatch-a-Long 2016 w/ Hosts, Mike, Sally & BantyChooks

I'm in again, lol. I keep saying I'm done hatching for the year and it keeps not happening. But some AC eggs are about to find their way into the incubator, and I'll probably set some of my own eggs for an actual Halloween hatch.

I said these silkies were going to be my last, but then metzer farm still has duck eggs, and there's turkey eggs on ebay... ugh.

I think my husband has reached his limit on incubators. lol 1 big one, 1 small one. I think it works well because it limits me from having staggered batches. I'm getting turkey's in the morning and ducks next week, and I still have a batch of red sex links in a bin with a heat lamp... I need to just behave myself. lol

You need a medium sized one too.

Well, my big one is more of a medium sized one, I think it holds a max of 44 regular sized chicken eggs, or like 24-28 duck/turkey/goose eggs... and my small incubator supposedly holds 10? lol (although, the silkie eggs are small and only 8 comfortably fit in there.)

so maybe I have a medium sized one and a small one, and don't have a large one yet?

I don't even know where I'd put another one at this point though.

96-144 eggs? or those large cabinets that hold like 1000 eggs at a pop?

Something like the GQF cabinet incubator, it has 3 trays so you can do like......hold on let me go find some numbers..........."1368 Quail Eggs, 354 pheasant eggs, 270 chicken eggs, 198 turkey or duck eggs, and 36-45 larger eggs such as goose, peafowl, and emu."

Yeah, my husband would kill me.

He doesn't mind small batches. His eye twitched when I put 28 eggs in the incubator. I'm not sure I'm brave enough to ask for a *bigger* one

Incubate in the big one and hatch in the two smaller ones
