HALLOWEEN Hatch-a-Long 2016 w/ Hosts, Mike, Sally & BantyChooks

I forget you guys aren't dark outside yet, so you still have a chance he'll return this evening.

Yes once I got back with the net he went completely quiet. Nowhere to be seen. Several fences between where he could be and the coop

I was moving fairly slow in the coop so last thing I expected was him to bolt. Next time close the door is the rule. The skittish trait may be their downfall.

Well I'm one young rooster shorter tonight. Went into coop to pick something up and left door open. Bad mistake he flew right by me and went out the door. Last I saw him he was into the bushes. Got the net but far too slow. Hopefully he'll show the same savvy tonight as the coyotes have been thick the past few nights. Did I mention these guys are skittish.
crap!!!

Quote: x2 hoping!!!

@Pensmaster good luck finding him alive :(

@Sally Sunshine I'm hoping I wake up to a baby. I have to take my hubby to work in the morning, which means piling the 3 youngest kids in the car at 5am :hmm

haha, fretting, not so much... trying to prepare for the worst, plan for what to do if they need help, and hope for the best. I'm a planner. It's what I do. You should see my birth plans when I have kids. I've written mini books for my first couple of kids... like 20+ pages. LOL

It's just what I do!
