Snuggled in bed

Startled sneezes (wait for it... that 3rd sneeze at the end!)

A vet was involved and I was hand feeding and giving liquid antibiotics and water by eyedropper last month. (The whole flock got antibiotics and everyone's fine.) She's now breathing easy, happily running around, futilely chasing insects with childlike wonder at the world.

I'm hoping for a pullet. Named her Petra — little gray pebble

— bc she was being picked on a bit by her siblings and she was petrified of everyone.

Now she often flies up on my shoulder and nuzzles up to my hair and naps while I work around the cabin/yard. ❤️ I've become very attached, so I really hope Petra doesn't turn out to be a Peter.
