Species: Chicken
Breed: Rhode Island Red
Sex: Pullet
Age: 2 weeks
Handicap: Trouble Dancing (Missing foot)

This is Ariel. When I got Ariel her feet seemed fine but a couple of days later, her foot shriveled and then fell off. I'm so happy to hear that chickens can live with just one foot. I have been so worried that she wouldn't make it ... but seeing all of these chickens thriving despite their handicaps has brought inspiration to my little mermaid.

She's really sweet, and hardly lets it affect her at all. She eats and drinks with her fellow princesses, and well ... just acts like a chicken.

Thanks for all of the great stories. - They are so encouraging!

Please post any advice on caring for a handicapped chicken!

Thank you.

P.S. In the picture, her leg is bandaged to protect the stump.
