Hey guys,

I have 6 chicks (2-5 days old now) and I'm trying to handle them as much as possible to allow for friendly birds.

I thought treats may help them enjoy being held more - however....they don't care. I was trying to hold the chick in my shirt/one hand and had a palm of "treat stick" crumble and bread crumble int he other. I also tried putting it onto a paper towel and sitting Indian style with the towel of treats and the chick between my legs. Still not real interested...

Any tips or advice on how to best hold them/ give them treats/ ect would be greatly appreciated

Thank you!

What I did with my chicks was pick them and hold them at face level and talk softly to them. I also would put my hands in front of them and let them see my hands and gently stroke them when they got close. And now they peep like crazy for me.!
