Handling incubated eggs and more questions

Before I go and try to hatch some eggs,I have some questions.
If I have an incubator that doesn't turn the eggs itself,
(a homemade one), how much would I have to turn them,and for how long( is there a stage in development that does not or should not need turning)?
Would I turn them upside down or on the side?
In some posts I seen the eggs marked on.Is that to remember what way you turned them?
How high should the humidity be?Is there a point in hatching that requires more than another point,or should it be the same thoughout the hatching process?
What is the average temp.for hatching eggs in an incubator?
Does the temp. depend on the breed hatching?

Lot's of questions....do some more research and you will find your answers, you will do fine....sanitize incubator before each hatch, temp 99 degrees, Humidity 53-58%. Warm incubator 1 day before placing eggs, check temp and adjust as needed.....one suggestion I was told when touching an incubator egg, use rubber glove with a small amount of cooking oil the gloves. That person said he had a high hatch rate (95%). Turning eggs minimal of 3 times per day....small end down, turning to at least 30 degrees....hope this helps and GOOD LUCK
