I am very confused about using the humidity.
On the inside wall of the eggshell, theee appears to be a white circular splotch with white spider trails coming out of the circle. Tonight i finally notice a tiny black dot in that white circle. Does this mean the start of an i

Internal pipping is when they break through the membrane inside the air cell, getting ready to hatch... external pipping is when they make a break in the egg shell itself... and zipping is when they turn around in a circle from the external pip, cracking the egg shell in a circle to pop out of the shell...

The veins indicated life already... the dark dot is their eye and definitely an embryo is growing... congrats!!!

Ok....I'm done for the rest of the year. I checked the one and only living egg last night, and saw the baby pecking away, I'm guessing to try and pip internally. I could see the membrane moving with its bill. This morning, I checked on it, and no movement. Temps were at 99 to 100, humidity was at 60 m/l. Soooo, I started opening it up around the air cell, and noticed the membrane was white, and drawn in on the poor little thing, but not too far, he had room to move. A lot of goo around its nares, too.

With a white membrane, and goo around his nose, was it too much, or not enough humidity?

The same way you do in a purchased incubator, with the surface area of the water. More surface area means higher humidity.
