And by the way, normally the string that you snipped off will dry up on its own within a few hours. But you did great!!

Yes it looked very open and had a blood vessel. I wasn't risking him bleeding after everything i had done already lol

@WVduckchick if you are honest what do you think his chances of survival are? He is trying to walk around already.

This was taken several hours after this guy hatched. Within 24 hours, i couldn't even see it without parting the fluff.




Sorry, i missed your belly pic earlier. It really doesn't look too bad to me, but I'm on mobile right now, so i can't blow it up really well.
Will you be able to clip the string or are you just waiting for it to dry up and the string fall away?
