I don't even see an air cell. Green eggs are notoriously difficult to candle; you need to adjust the light around the fat end of the egg until you can at least make out the air cell.

Ok, I set my green eggs almost 2 weeks ago. (Thursday will be day 14.) And this is the most hands off hatch I have ever ran!  I am barely remembering to make sure I get them turned...lol  Running dry of course, which results in temps staying pretty darn steady between 99.5 and 100.5. Air cells a couple days ago when I candled are looking pretty darn good. I could still make out development in all 13 I think. Going to take a look at them tonight.

My other babies are doing good. They are in their funny looking stage. Can't believe they are 2 weeks old.  That white one coming in grayish still amazes me. I can't wait to see what they are going to look like once they are all feathered and puffy.

:fl

I did my day 14 candle last night on the 6 cochin eggs (from my pair) Looking good! Tonite I checked the 19 Serama eggs that are on day 4, and I can see veining in at least 14 already! A couple possible clears or just slower, and a couple possible bloodrings, but so far so good. These were shipped from Florida!

Leaking Yolk!

I helped a chick out of the egg today (Day 22) because it had externally pipped 30 hrs ago and stopped. I only took the pipped side of the shell off and left it back in the incubator. The chick came out after couple of hrs but is really bones and a big belly. Its also leaking yolk. I tried to apply corn starch but its not sticking. There is no visible yolk sac but its leaking from where the umbilical cord was supposed to be attached.

Any idea how to help. Thanks in advance!

Ok thanks, yes I had also tried the other end and can see the air cell but it's super hard to tell.. I guess I'll just keep it in just in case!

Those green eggs are the worst to candle. If it doesn't stink give it the benefit of the doubt! I have one Black Copper Marans egg in the bator right now that could be empty or could have a dead embryo or could have the most beautiful chick the world has ever seen. I have no clue!

At day 18, yes I would say clear, even in my hard to see green eggs, after a few days of incubation the ones that are developing don't let that much light through. However, there's no reason not to leave it in until the end.
