Measured temp at the wrong level... I measured at egg turner level, I thought I was running 102 but it was actually 105.
None got beyond day 4....

That and I had a run of MG through my flock.... Which was causing infertile eggs.. (I know because I checked for bulls-eyes, and there was none. I just started getting them again.) But nothing coulda helped them survive 105!

This time, however, I am measuring at the correct level!

The heartbeat. I don't know about anything other than duck eggs, but I love to see the heartbeat.

My candler isn't strong enough to see the heart.... Or I might incubate them with the heat from a candler.....

My candler isn't strong enough to see the heart.... Or I might incubate them with the heat from a candler.....

I've said it before. My ducks are hatched afraid of the dark because they spent their incubation with my flashlight stuck to their shells!

I always say I know my chicks are swearing at me from inside! lol I think one flipped me off one time. I distinctly saw a toe stick up!
