It has now opened its eyes but after 13 hours of being hatched it still hasn't stood up or moved

Ca little bit am putting it in the brooder soon but trying to corner off a part so it is away from my other ducklings

I guess I'm not understanding the time thing? why worry about the time? hens don't have a clock they only go by days...

There's nothing to understand. It's not a matter of worrying. I wanted to set them at midnight-until I realized it ment less sleep for me...lol Then I set them at 10 so I could monitor the bator the first couple hours and go to bed around midnight.

That's the BEST way to go, because then you know they are at LEAST three days before hatching day...

Unless your bator runs warm ....lol almost all of my hatches start day 19/20.

IF she's getting off the nest to start teaching the other babies how to do things, the eggs will get cold and it will take longer for them to come out, if you can incubated them that would be great then you can sneek them underneath her at night when she's got all the others ones under her.  Can't just throw them out to her she may reject them.

If you leave them, she will likely get on them at night but not having warmth during the day is what will slow them down.  Some may not even make it, she may get to the point of finding the new babies a new sleeping place and avoid the nest all together.  

I would bate them myself, most of the work is done for you already, you just get the enjoyment of watching them hatch.. Once they are fluffed up, I would at night only sneek them back underneath.
