Hands on hatching and help

So I only have 1 call egg left. The second looks like tried to internally pip over night (there's a bruise, just like Ravyn said there would be) but it couldn't. Makes me wonder if I should have tried to get the bill out. That's the fullest assist I can imagine and honestly scares me. No movement today, I'm sure it's gone. The other egg finally pipped yesterday as I posted and last night I made a little safety hole so it could get oxygen. The pip is very low on the egg. I thought I would post pics here to show the position of the internal pip and the size of the safety hole. Going to check on him in a little bit.

So excited and happy for your hatch! Can't wait to see more pics. Going to check out the interview now!...
FYI, once they internally pipped they have enough oxygen to last them for 24 to 48 hours.

One of my ducks has started hatching....4 days early! I noticed around noon yesterday it had piped. Last night around 11 it had partially zipped. This morning it looks the same, and is chirping and trying hard to get out. I'm not sure if it is in the right position or not. Every once in a while a foot comes out of the pip. How long should I let it go before I help? Any advice is much appreciated. This is my first time hatching in an incubator. Here is a pic of how far along the hatch is.
Aweee, guess someone got very impatient.. LOL

Ok I finished the zip. The membrane still wet, but it looks brown. I know they turn when they dry, but it's not. Is this normal? Here is a pic of where we are now.
I would pop that top off, at this point you can't hurt him, by now hes fully absorbed and ready, just need a little extra push. Don't try to pull him out of the shell just take that top off and he should fall right out..

He is thrashing around and seems to be doing well. This glob of stuff came out with him also? Wasn't attached or anything. Any idea what it is?

Maybe it's the pic or maybe it's me, but it seems like he's a little gooy all over, give him time see if he fluffs up if not he may need a good clean up. Also keep an eye on those legs, they seem to be spread apart as if he's having some difficulties getting them under him but that maybe because he just hatched and doesn't have the strength yet to bring them close together. Your Flooring is good but sometimes they can accidently get there webby feet in the holes... But I wouldn't worry about that right now.. i think he'll be OK

have some naicin ready for him when he goes into the broody box..

Yeas he does have some goop on him. He is all over the place in there and chirping loudly. I think it was just the moment I caught the pic on his legs. I am noticing his little wings are quivering. Is that normal? Is he cold? Sorry! First time duck mom
