Hands on hatching and help

Went out to duck nest a few hrs ago I saw one cracking open. Went out there now and saw it floating the egg in pool. There was no life in water or around them. The egg had yolk in it some was able to grab two eggs she allowed me to touch. I didn't see vains in it or any thing moving. I drew lines on it out lines I saw. Marked it 1-2 with a pencil. But I did see ants in nest again. I will lay ditmacious earth soon as partner comes home . So he can hold snowflake and hope. So I don't get bit.

That's umbilical / intestines don't pull it chick will die. Try to put a hair dryer on low warm and try a and push it slowly back inside her if it stays watch her closely. It's a backward gene in mine that does it. If not she/ he will die they can't go to bathroom. Some glue it. Don't let it get to cold. It might take you a few try's.

@AmyLynn2374, an update on the chick.. still hanging in there..not to section..extra membrane, whatever it was,, dried up and I snipped it off(not before I snapped a pic )..the other 'blob' now looks like any other small bit of unabsorbed yolk ???
Chick is all over the hatcher..making friend with each new hatch until I take them :(
He still looks skinny in the rear, doesn't haven't that bubble butt look that most have. As much as I think it needs to eat, I'm still holding off to make sure umbilical is completely sealed. (I have it in my head that if I feed it, and it goes to poo before that area is sealed, that everything is going to come out..maybe total wrong, but that's what my brain is telling me)
Anyways..every hour that passes, my hope rises.. it's an adorable chick..came from a mixed pen out of an olive egg, but has feathered legs..think it has some Maran in it.

400

ETA: that yellow area on the feathers that looks like yolk...that's just yellow feathers..lol

Thanks! I actually feel like a dummy....lol the egg hadn't pipped after all. It was just a piece of paper towel stuck to it. We are at the beginning of day 23 and no sign of pips so far from the other two eggs

At least I'm not alone ..lmao.. I have mini heart attacks 40 times a day ..every single time is because a tiny piece of shell from a hatched egg gets stuck in some odd position on another egg..
How many chicks did you hatch ?
And congrats btw ♡♡

If that was about my chick it's way past the pushing it in phase.. honestly thought it would never make it thru the night so didn't try anything (thought it was intestines outside the body)..
Still no clue what it really was, wasn't a normal yolk sac and highly doubting that it was intestines or organs now that it's so small...what's left there isn't enough to stress too much over..as long as no one else pecks it , I think it will dry up and fall off or at least dry enough for me to snip it the rest of the way..I drenched it in betadine first thing this morning when I realized the chick seemed to have a chance

ETA: If you're referring to pics in post 2417 I shared, that's not my chick..that just the closest pictures I could find to show what mine looked like at hatch..I was convinced it would die so didn't get a picture right after it hatched.. the last pic I posted is what it looks like as of 8pm tonight

Now that is starting to look more like mine did once the yolk was absorbed and it started drying up. I think if he is active and moving around, he has a good chance. I'd be hopefull at this point.

I think we've all thought we've seen pips and have it be something else...lol
