Good luck! did you mention breeds? Sometimes certain breeds just like to be difficult.
They're Ameraucanas.

It does move them around! It's a circular turning plate that spins. Each egg is in a hole so when it spins the egg rotates against the floor of the incubator, if that makes sense.
The Egg did quit. It broke my heart but I got more egg's and put them in the bator this morning.
Congrats to Pyxis and WV on your new badges!!! I can't tag from this stupid app, but congrats!!!
Looks fine to me. How long has the bottom one been pipped? Looks like it will be ready to zip soon.
The candle pic -- looks like it may just be a little slower. No problem. It should be laying down now, with the lowest part of the dip of the air cell facing up. So the left side of your picture. The high side should be toward the floor. The chick's back is on the high side. And just wait....
Thanks!
My congrats to Pyxis too!
The bottom and top egg are the same one. I realize now the movement I saw yesterday was it breathing in the air cell. Another was also breathing in the air cell yesterday, but today I see no movement. That freaked me out that this one was going to die which was why I opened it up.
How long can it stay like that (shell chipped away and outer membrane lifted in the incubator)? I can still see it breathing...the inner membrane has gotten less see through but is still bulging in and out as the chick breathes. Incubator humidity close to 79% (it's been high since the others hatched).
Is the beak up in the air cell?
I think it must be, because the chick got into the air cell, unless a foot is through there but I doubt I could see the membrane bulging with each breath so well. I didn't take enough shell off to see much, but I think I saw the beak. The internal membrane is still intact.
