Hands on hatching and help

So...4 days to go for my ducklings, but maybe 3 days! My quails and chicks hatched one day early! I candled today to make sure they were all positioned with the dip in the aircell up. 2 of the eggs look like the air cells are big! I am worried about them

1 looks the ideal size for day 24...and 2 look small

None of my eggs seem to be on the same program for losing moisture here

I really hope they hatch ok!!!!

This late in development, I am guessing I just have to wait and see what happens

Ducklings stress me out the most I feel your pain. I'll be in the same boat next week

Another dead egg.

It had pipped yesterday morning, we could see it breathing, and now I can still see the beak but there is no movement. And now there are cockroaches in and around the incubator. Gross.

Please keep fingers crossed for me my Araucana eggs are due this weekend I'm hoping the slight adjustments I have made to this dang cabinet bator worked as if they aren't hard enough to hatch 20/42 made it to lockdown so I would be thrilled w/ 50% followed all the recommendations even "misting" the eggs 3 times a day and added an extra water pan below

My fingers are crossed for you. I'm sure everything will go well for your Auraucana chicks. Good luck and hoping you have an exciting weekend.

The big ones could be early draw down? Good luck with them.

I'm sorry, I'm confused. Extra water pan, are you trying to raise humidity? Misting eggs has the opposite effect, it actually draws more moisture out as the mist evaporates, so if you are trying to raise humidity, the misting is opposing that.

But my fingers and toes are crossed for a good hatch for you! I wanna see some adorable Araucana babies!!!

I normally take the "let the natural world handle her own business" avenue but an incubator isn't exactly "natural" so human involvement (ME) may be required from time to time. How do you know when a chick is struggling to come out? I have seen pictures of the results of improper timing. Personally, I would rather the chick die from nature than due to my ignorance about timing and procedure.

I'm wondering what is your process for helping out hatching
