K, next pay day will get more wood chips.

If using small wood chips, rather than purchasing pine shavings, try to source free stuff. A tree trimming service and/or township city works department may have free chips.

I love the variety of activity you offer your birds. Logs and stumps are great! I have two hollow stumps next to each other that my smaller girls love to nestle in and use as tunnels. very cute to see.

I just sprinkle the bedding with scratch - they will fluff it right up.

As for bedding a LOT DEPENDS on your climate. I am very dry, arid country, but places with higher humidity or huge amounts of rain have different problems.
