I have seen some of you say that hanging feeders create much less waste that floor feeders. Can you explain how this works as I am just not seeing how it hanging will make a difference in the food being flipped out,

With a hanging feeder at the right height, about the level of their back, they can't kick out as much feed. When we had floor feeders they would get in them and kick feed everywhere.

I will get my quail later this week and we will see.

I set it up for 4 of my pens to have hanging feeders, and 4 with the rabbit style feeders (with a solid bottom or course).

I shall post the results for the world to see!

I've got hanging feeders coming from Cutlers. My babies waste about 2/3 of the feed I put out there in the metal & mason jar setup.
