.::Hansel and Gretel, the Japanese Bantams' Story::.

I almost forgot-in the mean time do NOT use peroxide-it kills the skin tissue!. If she is bloody just clean wound to make sure flys don't lay their eggs on her head until then...

UGH you need to go look in TSC--alot of their folks ( no offense folks) don't know what or where things are in the store. Go to the horse cow section where all the medications are. Look for a yellow bottle-very plain Jane looking-I'd bet anything its sitting right on the shelf! Youll want the spray-small bottle costs like 7$???

Ok. I never thought to look there! And is it supposed to help the feather growth, or just used to keep the others from pecking, or both? My poor little hen is terrified of the rooster. I guess I will need to separate them if its that bad.......

It doesnt help feather growth but it does mask the redness from an open woundstopping the urge of all others from pecking-It has healing qualities ( meds in it) to help heal wounds faster-It does work great and its cheap;) i would seriously separate them for now-until she's fully healed. if you are using them as breeders-keep their cages next to eachother so they can see eachother. Also only put him in for a 24 hr period for mating and then remove. Check her eggs for fertility to make sure he did what he should have done for the 24 hour period. She will remain fertile for up to 3 weeks. But once a week I would put him in for 24 hours to make sure fertility stays strong.
