Happier than a wet hen?

I just went out to check on my hens, since it's been raining all day long. They all were out in the field soaking and dripping wet hunting, pecking, scratching, and all. They seemed real happy.

Do yours do this too?

Ours will stay out all day in the rain. Maybe worm hunting?

Mine did the same thing today. I got home and they looked like they had been swimming! Never seen them so drenched!

mine seem to care more about wind than rain

as long as they're not babies, they're fine.

My seven week old black australorps seem to like the rain better than sunny weather. They stay out all day in the pouring rain and when it is sunny and warm they are in the coop sleeping.

mine like the weather like I do. If it's over 70 I'm uncomfortable. If it's over 80 I just want to sleep. My chickens are the same way ...

Mine love the rain, too. It brings out all of the yummy worms!

Huh, I must have the only wimpy chickens. It rained here off and on all day, and I found chickens scattered around in the coop, barn, and horse stalls, not doing much. Not a single one wanted to go outside the shelter.

Then again, my chickens also take afternoon naps. They really are the laziest chickens I've ever met...

I thought my girls were crazy because they would stand around in the rain and sit on their perch in the rain instead of going inside of their nice dry coop (and it's been too cold for earthworms to make an appearance yet)
