Thanks for all of the warm welcome messages.

Archie spent most of the day in his coop/run. I let him out in the afternoon and gave him a bit of a physical exam. I am so glad I spent the time teaching him basic commands. He "up upped" on the rail of the porch and laid on his belly without any protest. I went through his feathers and found his left side is almost bare under his top layer. He also has a wound on his back. It looks like the talons of the hawk grazed his back but was holding onto feathers. I guess that is how he escaped. I put some polysporin on the wound and will give it a good cleaning tomorrow. It has closed up but I could smell infection.

At least he seems to be moving around ok and is eating like a pig. Hopefully he will be feeling better and back to chasing the UPS guy soon.
