Happy 50th Anniversary, Sourland and Princess!

Thanks, friends, and a special thanks to

lady for the poem and the advice on my 'speech'. We did the 'renewal of vows' bit, and it was nice - made the Princess really happy, and that's good enough for me. Weather was bad and kept our son in law and two of our grand children away simply because of 'safety', but we made it to the restaurant and had a very nice ceremony and meal. Our kids, DIL, and 3 of the grandkids are spending the night here - something good came out of the bad weather. For just one small moment most of our family is together again.

You rascal, you didn't even give me an inkling that you had such an important day coming up. May you and Princess share many, many more wonderful years together MAZEL TOV !!

Congratulations to a wonderful man and the woman who was lucky enough to find him 50 years ago. I know that she couldn't have known (and neither could he) that they would grow to love, respect, and work together so well, but time has been the test and these two came though with flying colors. I have not had the pleasure of speaking with "The Princess" directly, but her grace and humor, understanding and humanity, are evident in his words. The love and devotion they feel for one another is evident in the stories George shares with his friends online. That is surely a happy home and a special relationship. Here's to another 50, just as happy. Love you, Sour and give The Princess a kiss from us!
