The big day finally came and my Happy Cackle box arrived this morning! It's similar to the more popular Hatchery Surprise, only smaller, and guarantees a pair of ducks, a pair of geese, 2 turkeys, 10 assorted laying pullet chicks, 1 laying breed male chick, and 10 assorted rare breed chicks. All hatchery choice for breed. Everyone arrived healthy and I actually got an extra turkey and couple extra chicks.
So far I've identified most of them:
2 African goslings
2 Rouen ducklings
2 royal palm poults
1 BBW poult
2 Buff Orpington roo chicks (marked with headspots)
11 red sexlink type
2 mottled houdan
3 appenzeller spitzhauben
1 silver lakenvelder
1 silver spangled Hamburg
3 tiny white bantams with single combs, yellow legs (I'm thinking Japanese?)
And finally, one mystery chick that has me totally stumped:
He/she is small, probably a bantam, light yellow-tan-gray based chipmunk with a rose comb and yellow legs, no eyeliner, smooth cheeks.
Any ideas? I've checked each breed on the Cackle site and still can't figure this one out. I'm new to the forum so I don't think I can load a pic yet, but will do as soon as I can.
