Madge grunted, and swung her head around as if to bite Julie's hand. But she kept her mouth closed, and only bumped her muzzle into Julie's hand. "Madge." Sheri said soothingly, "It's alright." Sheri ducked to the corner of the stall, and sat down, trying to not look threatening to Madge.
Madge squealed again, and laid down in the straw. Sheri looked at her watch. "Is there a way you can tell how soon she'll deliver?" Sheri asked Julie, her voice tense with worry.

Jessica jogged over to her. "Hi Danny! I heard Michel got his horse yesterday."

Julie shook her head. "Nope. No way to tell."
"Yeah he's a real gorgeous stallion if I do say so myself!" Danny said smiling.

Sheri smiled, sadly, and continued worrying inside her head. Just then Madge kicked out with her back legs, and a coal black foal slid out onto the straw. "Julie!" Sheri whispered.

Julie smiled and used a towel to clean him off. "This is the colt. What's his name?" she asked.

Sheri rubbed him with a towel, "Oh, I didn't really think about that until now." She blushed.
Madge lifted her head, and got up, licking her foal, wuffling gently to him. She nudged him to get up, and the large black foal thrashed his legs.
