Julie looked at her sadly. "Then how'd you get this mark on your arm? And the black eye? Danny, why don't you come live with me?" she asked her sincerely. "You're like a daughter to me, Danny."

"Danny, I heard some of what they said..." she trailed off, remembering she didn't have a nice house. She lived in the upstairs of a barn. Sure, it was heated, air conditioned, she had TV, computer, and furniture, but she figured Danny had a nicer house.
