"Jake, Sam, Timmy. Stop" she growled, grabbing them by the scruffs.

"Dancer, go get Splash!" she yelped, running back to the barn. "Baby. Why did you do that?"

With no further words, Skyler turned a spooked Starfire back up towards the barn. On the pavement, the sudden movement of Baby and Dancer caused Starfire to rear back, in which Skyler fell off and hit the pavement. She gasped as soon as she fell, lying there for a moment. Starfire realized what he had done and lowered his head beside her body, gently nudging her. She lie there, feeling broken and defeated. It had been a long, long day.
Eventually, she got back up and hopped on Starfire, who was a lot more gentle this time, knowing he'd hurt her.
