The mare had welts all over her flank her head was low her ears flat 

Bree gasp "Who would do that to such an amazing horse? Or any horse at all!"

Danny growled and started squeezing into the trailer.

She shook her head sadly at the sight of the mare. "Poor girl" she said sadly, then growled. She glanced back at the barn before looking back at the mare.

Julie saw them out of the corner of her eye. "Miley, I need to show you something" she said.
