Ah yes it's been on my mind a lot lately. I don't know how to keep them both long term honestly, but when they were 6 weeks old Baba went after Corney something fierce. It's like Baba woke up and said sorry Corney but today's your day to die! I made one nest box in the coop into a bird jail and separated the run with a stretch of garden fence. Then to maintain social bonds I rotated the females as companions, 3 & 3 with each male. I was able to reintegrate them all 36 hours later. They seem inseparable now, these boys. They even sleep next to each other. I do have spur covers on their way, I'm not totally naive but I am hopeful.Welcome to BYC. Have you prepared a place to seperate your two cockerels? It's best to seperate them early, before their hormones start acting up.
