I have 4 ladies a Turken, Black Australorp, Red Americuana, and Black Sex Link. They have always been together. I brought them home 9/11/13. We were planning on free ranging but I felt bad leaving them in the coop so we put a dog kennel setup for a chicken run, the coop is on stilts so they can walk under it as well. I have two nesting boxes and we have pine shavings and are doing the deep litter method. I give them treats of all kinds as well as laying pellet food. The only thing they do not have is a bar in the coop....but there is one in the run. They layed before they came to live with me.I know they have an adjustment time and the egg laying "season" has slowed substantially but is my set up poor? Is it possible they are unhappy and that is why they aren't laying?

It's only been 9 days. Your set up sounds fine. They are still adjusting to their new home. Enjoy your flock.
