My mother's day has been awful. We had terrible storms this morning that knocked our power out for three hours, and I had to go out in the middle of it to get the generator started so I could get the incubator going again.
My husband tried to let me sleep in a bit, but yelled so much at the kids I had to get up anyway.

We fought because I didn't feel like going over to my ridiculous in-law's to be criticized and annoyed.
He finally left with the kids about a half hour ago.
I have to clean up the dishes from lunch yet, and run some laundry through, but at least I got some me time.

Sorry to sound selfish, but I didn't even get a card or a happy mother's day wish today, from anyone, until my Mom called. *sigh*

Mangled, we are getting the storms now and me and my husband fought (married 40 years)over something stupid, aren't they all? Arguments that is -

I have not gotten a "Happy Mother's Day" from either of my boys who are old enuf to know better! But that's ok, thanks Jodie!

Sometimes you just gotta force yourself to see that elusive silver lining. I wish mine was here to get on my nerves. 3 years apart thanks to the military and now they are talking Iraq in September. I was happy with my card and call.

I got to go with my kids to a movie! Haven't done that in a while, my FIL payed (my DH has been out of state for 3 months) and I just don't do anything but stay at home. My FIL and DS went to see Iron Man and I took my 2 DD's to see Speed Racer. Loved it!!!! Then came home and logged in here!!!! Not too shabby!!! Steph

I am sure it made his day. I think it is almost as hard on dads to be away on Mother's day since they can't be there for you.

Thanks dangerouschicken. I had them lie in the leaves in a cemetery because our leaves weren't very good.
