I discovered the site by Pinterest and think it was really interesting reading about chickens, on their care and how they are happy to stay. I am considering getting hens and want to learn as much as possible and therefore, I look forward to following the site on this new journey.

Glad You found us! I just joined earlier this year & found people incredibly generous with sharing their experience & knowledge.

If you do a search on the Forums, you can find almost any topic you can think of.
You're doing great by coming here, doing research & asking questions so you can make good decisions when you get your flock.
Couple words of advice--
- Do your research on breeds that are not just pretty but also well suited for your climate.
- Whatever size coop you think you'll need, double that!
- Put together even a small emergency kit. Hopefully you won't ever need it but if you do, you don't want to be scrambling trying to find electrolytes or Corid to give your sick bird.
