Same here, store bought eggs all winter. They just can't compare to the 'home grown' ones from my flock of 5! This is the 2nd winter for my girls though, so guess it's to be expected (not liked, but expected)

Nice! Snow is definitely better than rain in the winter. The cold and wet from the rain chills to the bone and makes things and icy mess overnight. I've seen a few pics of snow from the east coast today, looks like there might be a white Christmas! It's snowing in Colorado now too!
We still have snow on the ground from the past several falls and more predicted tomorrow.
I think my layers are hoping Santa brings them all fur coats![]()
Maybe they are all hoping Santa brings eggs so they can continue the laying strike and not become dinner!
It does brighten things up...ground had been bare for weeks and is mostly bare again now.Well, that's one way of brightening things up!![]()
I'm loving your avatar! Two pretty gingers in that pictureI had two eggs this morning! My two layers have been taking turns each day and skipping a day here and there.
I have a EE who should start laying soon and hopefully my two freeloaders will join in the fun.
