Happy Spring!

Great resource here !! Thank you ! I'm new here, but not new to keeping chickens. I have Buff Orpingtons and Brown Leghorns, (3 roosters). I will be adding Rhode Island Reds in 2 weeks. Total birds is about 40. We have kept chickens for about 20 years and learned many tricks from trial and error.
YAY for Spring! :) Welcome to BYC! My very first chickens were Buff Orpingtons, sweetest babies ever. They were day-olds, given to me as an Easter gift when I was a little girl and I've loved chickens since. <3

G’Day from down under Jane… :frow Welcome!

Bring on winter! ;)

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

How cold is too cold to let hens out of the coop ? We always lock up at night because there are varmints.
