I have read many posts on BYC and finally decided to be a part of this wonderful chicken community. Sometime in July I got the urge to hatch some feathered pets. So i bought hatching
eggs off ebay and soon I had 2 baby orpingtons. Next would come 2 barnvelders. They really do make wonderful pets, and hey who doesnt enjoy getting free eggs? lol

I got 8 chickens but no eggs yet! Cant wait for fresh eggs though

Thank you all for the very warm welcome. I hope to see yall around the *backyard* more often. Dont have a coop for the baby chicks yet, but when its up and ready, ill post pics. So many people have graciously posted pics and ive got some good ideas for my own coop from here. gotta go. bye for now.
